Details 1979 Rickenbacker 4001 Bass Here we have one of the world's most iconic basses in its signature Jetglo look. All original as well. The shear variety of Ric players over the years really speaks to not only quality but abundance of tones available to the player, from serious bottom end thunder, blistering and cutting trebles and everything in between. With its all-maple neck-through construction and twin Rickenbacker pickups it has a sound you can't touch with any other bass. Plus, with the Ric-O-Sound stereo outputs (in addition to mono) and a splitter box you can send each pickup to a separate amp and really dial things in. "Rock N Roll Vintage Guitars" Details Cosmetic Condition: Overall the bass is in good condition. There are small nicks and scratches throughout. There are a few paint chips here and there but no deep dings, dents or anything of that nature. One of the tone knobs is missing the little sticker on top. There's some light pitting on the bridge. All hardware and electronics are fully functional. Repairs & Mods: The bass is all original with no cracks, breaks, repairs or modifications. Very solid and poised for another 30 years of action. Feel & Playability: The famous crested wave cutaway also makes for a very balanced instrument. This is one of those instruments that just fits like a glove. The neck is straight and has a medium sized profile so most players should find comfortable. The frets are original and do show some wear but the bass plays well as is. Very easy playing action too.
