The mahogany Magnums had an elongated offset double cutaway design. Both basses had bolt-on mahogany necks reinforced by three strips of carbon graphite to eliminate warping, a wide strip in the center of the back and two more underneath the fingerboard. Fingerboards were unbound ebony with 20 frets and dot inlays. Both basses had a cast metal housing with two pickups, a small split double-coil unit at the bridge and a large square four-coil unit at the neck, this latter with little screw-adjusted trim pots for micro adjusting volume. The Magnum I had a three-way select with two volume and two tone controls. It also had two jacks allowing either mono or stereo output. This guitar was given to my Dad in the 1960's. It is in good condition for its age but has a button missing (see photo) and a piece of the mother of pearl trim missing. I am not sure if the case is the original case but was the case it has always been stored in.

1966 Fender Precision Bass. All original condition with the exception of the input jack which was replaced (the original input jack is included). Original bridge and pickup covers are included, as is the original “no tail” Fender logo case in great shape. This is and absolutely awesome bass. The original sunburst finish is dripping with color and charisma (must be seen in person to get the full effect). Brilliant yellow and red shaded into black. There is some chipping as shown in the photos and some mild checking providing an all together excellent vibe of honest age and wear. The neck has been played to the point of that perfect “natural” feel on the back. The frets are in great shape with a nice crown and minimal wear for its age. Neck is straight with no issues and the truss rod is almost flush with the heel of the neck. Nice low action. The tuners work great and the head stock has the cool “transition logo.” The tortoise shell pickguard is intact with no breaks. Unamplified, the bass is loud and highly resonant. Plugged in it is absolutely mind blowing – everything you would expect and more – a perfect P Bass sound that is punchy and, volume wise, totally even across the spectrum. The pickups are nice and strong. The previous owner had the luthier / builder Mike Lull take the bass apart and evaluate it. The photos of the bass disassembled were taken during Lull’s inspection (that’s his hand and arm in the photos). Lull though very highly of the bass. As seen in the photos, the neck dates to September 1966. The pickups date to 1966. However, the pots date to the 19th week of 1967. Lull’s opinion is that they are original and that the bass neck, body, etc. were built in 1966 but assembled in 1967. The bass is light – coming in at right around 8 lbs. Here is a 1960's Guyatone electric bass guitar, made in Japan by the Tokyo sound co LTD. The serial # is 802430. This is a high end bass for a Guyatone. It is in very good condition for it's age. It has nicks, scratches, wear, and dings. It has a nice natural patina. The neck is straight with good action. The frets show very little wear. All of the electronics work as they should. The bridge cover is missing. The neck is bound and feels good. The scale lenght is 30". Included is a non original hard shell case. This is a great bass for any player or collector! Up for sale is a Fender Precision bass neck with a maple fingerboard. The neck is in very good condition, but does show a little wear. The serial number dates it to 1978. The neck is strait and the truss rod works great. I'm selling because of an injury, I need to play with a custom bass neck (very very thin). This neck has seen flatwounds for most of its life, so fret wear is at a minimum. This neck does show signs of wear, but this is to be expected out of a vintage instrument. For its age, I find the condition to be very good. There is some wear and finish checking, but overall, it's obvious this guitar was well cared for. For you relic people, this is a great project. Forget road worn, this is the real deal. It even has burns from a cigarette. Because of the age, I cannot offer refunds. Check my ratings, I strive for satisfaction. Price just lowered for quick sale! This is a Vintage 1966 Fender Mustang Bass. It was originally painted White when bought in 1966 in the 80's my dad had it repainted sunburst, I don't know why it is just one of his favorite colors. The bass is in excellent shape plays very well, and is a great collector piece. It has been stored in the case since the late 80's when my dad stopped playing it and collected it instead. It is in good shape, it would be a great thing to buy and collect as well. My dad pasted away years ago and I think it needs a new home now. Write me if you need any pictures, or any information on it, I have the serial number to prove it is a 1966 as well.
